Helen I. Judy, 73, Dover, formerly of New Philadelphia, died Friday night, November 14, 2003, at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover.Born in Baltic, OH, on August 6, 1930, Helen was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel Marie Rowe McPherson, and was a l948 graduate of Stone Creek High School.For eighteen years, she was a secretary at the Tuscarawas County Department of Human Services, and was also well-known as an expert baker and seamstress. Her greatest joy, however, came from times she spent as a mother to her four children and, later, in her role as grandmother and great-grandmother.She will be missed by her daughters, Pam Musick of Fort Wayne, IN and Patti Chambers of New Philadelphia; sons, John Judy of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Chris (Connie) Judy of Dennison; grandchildren, Kelli (Brandon) Henning, Patrick (Emily) Gibson, Kyle Charles, Jennifer (Matt) Hans, and Amber (Adam) Halstead; great-grandchildren, triplets, Sophie, Will, and Maddie Henning; Ellie Hans and twins, Lauren and Kate Hans; and Janelle and Vanessa Halstead; sisters, Margaret (Jack) Haas of Dover, Phyllis (Glen) Degen and Katie (Jerry) Hooper both of Stone Creek, Mabel (Clarence) Albright of Huntsville, AL, and Betty Schnittke of Dover; and brothers, Richard McPherson of Apache Junction, AZ, and Eugene (Martyne) McPherson of Newcomerstown.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Evelyn (Dwight) Johnson.Services to celebrate Helen’s life will be at the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel on Tuesday, November 18, 2003, at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Dr. Steven Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Stone Creek Cemetery in Stone Creek. A reception in the Geib Family Center will follow the committal. Friends may call on the family at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday evening, November 17, 2003, from 5 to 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzeimer’s Association, Canton Area Chapter, 4815 Munson Street NW, Canton, OH 44718.
