Helaine Moore

Helaine Beckwith Moore, age 86, of Tuscarawas, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, while under the care of Community Hospice in The Truman House at New Philadelphia.

Born January 18, 1937, at Warsaw, New York, Helaine was a daughter of the late Ellis L. and Helen (Holmes) Beckwith.

Helaine was a 1954 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.  On February 24, 1956 she married Charles Moore and together they have enjoyed 67 years of marriage.

She was a homemaker and cared well for her family.  In her free time, she loved to read about Egyptian history, and do genealogy.  She was also gifted in refinishing furniture. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.  Helaine is a long-time member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Helaine is survived by her husband, Chuck Moore; and daughter, Kathi Eggler of Tuscarawas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Helen Beckwith-Snedeker; daughter, Kris A. Moore; and step-sister, Joan Stiffler.

The family will greet guests, on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia, where Pastor Rob Eller will lead a service at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will immediately follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
