Hazel Marie Goduto, age 80, of Mineral City, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, May 6, 2010 in Amberwood Manor at New Philadelphia.Born in Harrison County, Ohio, November 2, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Ollie Henry and Almeda Estelle Whitman Patterson. Hazel was a homemaker for most of her life, and was a member of the Tuscarawas County Genealogy Society. On June 6, 1962, she married Robert N. Goduto, who passed away in November, 1998, after more than thirty-six years of marriage. Survivors include three daughters and a son; Brenda Lintz of New Philadelphia, Michael Anderson of Mineral City, Debra (Richard) Murphy of New Philadelphia, and Regina (Jeff) Hershberger of Canton. Two step-children; Thomas Goduto of Cambridge and Kerry Ellen (Richard) Campbell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, as well as five grandchildren; Tara Lintz of Florida, Kevin Anderson of Ohio, Robert Bailey of New Philadelphia, Julian and Lucas Hershberger, both of Canton, also survive. Numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren complete the family. In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel is preceded in death by her siblings; Daniel, Sonny, Doris, Grace and Dorothy. Cremation is planned, with inurnment in Gnadenhutten Union Clay Cemetery, where her husband is laid to rest. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
