Harvey E. Morrison, 61, of Gilmore, died April 6, 2007, in his residence with his family by his side.A son of Francis Woodrow and Etta Estella Burdette Morrison, Harvey was born on July 22, 1945, in Dennison, Ohio. In 1963, Harvey graduated from Gnadenhutten High School and then went on to the Ohio State Barber College where he graduated in 1964. Harvey started his career at the Buckeye Hotel and throughout his life had a barbershop in Uhrichsville, Gnadenhutten, and most recently Harv’s Barber Shop in Uhrichsville. He was a member of the West Union United Methodist Church of Gilmore and was the sexton for the church cemetery. Harvy was a Clay Twp. Trustee and was a member of the Uhrichsville Elks. Harvey loved his grandkids and enjoyed going to antique malls, swap meets, and flea markets. He also enjoyed riding his scooter to work, and will greatly miss the days of haymaking on his father-in-law’s farm. Harvey was preceded in death by his father, Francis Woodrow Morrison.He is survived by his wife Sherry Morrison nee Couts, whom he married July 23, 1967; children, Kelli Jo (Troy) Page of Gnadenhutten, Lori Lea (Aaron) Yoder of Hartville, Ohio, Seth Eugene (Kathy Feher) Morrison of Gilmore; grandchildren, Mason Reed Page, Carter Blaine Page, Adrienne Lea Yoder, Hayley Brooke Yoder, Heath Isaac Yoder; special children, Kayla Feher, Karly Feher, Ethan Sanchez; mother, Etta Estella Morrison of Gnadenhutten; brothers, Donald (Barbara) Morrison of Port Washington, Robert (Linda) Morrison of Gnadenhutten, Edward (Nancy) Morrison of Bolivar; and many nieces and nephews.Friends are invited to call Monday, April 9, 2007, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Linn-Hert Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the West Union United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Huntsman officiating. Immediately following the service a reception will be given for family and friends in the church fellowship hall.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. Third Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.
