Harvey Delbert Sauser, age 100, of Copley, Ohio and formerly of Stone Creek, died peacefully Thursday, November 4, 2010, in Copley Care Center.A son of the late Ulrich L. and Etha L. Mizer Sauser, Delbert, as he was known to family and friends, was born on January 2, 1910, at Apple Creek, Ohio. He married the former Bonnie Patterson on August 17, 1935, and together the couple reared four children.Delbert spent his life as a farmer and also retired from the Stone Creek Brick Yard following 39 years of service. He was a long time member of Grace Community Church at Stone Creek and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Additionally, Delbert was a fan of the Cleveland Indians.Delbert leaves behind two daughters, Velma Boss of Copley and Thelma (William) Davis of Seville; and a daughter-in-law, Roberta Sauser of Norton, Ohio.Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to his parents, Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Richard and Donald Sauser, and many brothers and sisters.Burial in the Stone Creek Cemetery will be private. A memorial service led by Pastor Keith Hejnal will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at 11 AM in the Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ, 2172 S. Medina Line Road, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM.
