Harry J. King, 85, of Newcomerstown, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.
A son of the late Harry and Artha (Wiandt) King, Harry was born January 8, 1930 in Newcomerstown, Ohio.
Harry enjoyed waking up and spending every morning with his friends at either Cy Young Bowling Alley or at the local McDonalds. In his free time he enjoyed tending to his garden and fishing with his close friends in Canada, South Carolina, and New York.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia King, whom he married on September 23, 1950; one son, Terry (Vanessa) King of Coshocton; two daughters, Vicki King of New Philadelphia and Gina (Roger) Bond of Newcomerstown; a former daughter-in-law, Betsy Wise; daughter-in-law, Beulah King; grandchildren, Clinton (Julie), Nathan (Amanda), Zachary, Chelcie, Courtney, and Seth King, Robb Bond, Kacy (Mike) Pachuta, and Stacy Ross; great grandchildren, Austin, Emmy and Wesley King, Rylynn and Gage Ross, and Remington Pachuta; one step grandson; two step great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Kitten Crater; many nieces and nephews; his fishing buddies, Tob and Harry and his coffee buddies at Cy Young Lanes.
Being the last of his generation, Harry is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Craig King; one grandson, Adrian King; siblings, Jessie Mulheim, Artha Kenney, Minnie Cordrey, Mary Casteel, Jean Davis, and John King and one brother-in-law, Gerald Crater.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services, and cremation will take place through the care of Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia.
