Harry E. Vierheller, 62, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Morning View Care Center in New Philadelphia following a brief illness.Born in New Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Margaret A. Ayers Vierheller and is survived by his father and stepmother, Jacob F. and Viola Vierheller of Gnadenhutten. He retired from A-1 Pallets in Gnadenhutten where he worked as a forklift operator and enjoyed camping and working on cars.In addition to his father and stepmother, he is survived by his wife, the former Edna M. Bloom, whom he married January 9, 1969; a son, Thomas (Linda) Beach and a daughter, Shirley (Bruce) Buttons both of Dover; two step-sons, John (Sherry) Harding of Barnhill and Thomas (Jenny) Harding of Dover; three step-daughters; Diana (Michel) McMurray of Dover, Deborah (Randy) Walker and Sally Ross and her companion Wilmer Eckelberry both of New Philadelphia; a brother, Robert (Norma) Vierheller of Dover; two sisters, Donna (Clifford) Berentz of New Philadelphia and Evelyn (Gary) Renner of Roswell; two step-brothers, Gary (Judy) Rankin of Gainesville, Florida and John (Eileen) Carruthers of New Philadelphia; two step-sisters, Marla (Vern) McDonald and Bonita (David) Antonelli both of Dover; a brother-in-law, Thomas E. Haldeman of Gnadenhutten; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Two sisters, Gloria J. Haldeman and Shirley A. Vierheller are also deceased.Funeral services will be held Wednesday evening, February 26, 2003 at 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM. A reception will be held in the Geib Family Center following the funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
