Harry Burton Dotts

Harry Burton Dotts, 72, of New Philadelphia died Monday, April 30, 2012 at his cabin in Dellroy.

A son of the late Burton and Althea (Gordon) Dotts, Harry was born July 8, 1939 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.

Harry graduated from Midvale High School in 1957. Following graduation, Harry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.

He retired from Gradall in 2002 after more than 40 years of service. Harry was an avid hunter and fisherman but most of all he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Cua) Dotts whom he married on March 20, 1969; two sons, Burton (Terri) Dotts and Michael (Amy) Dotts both of New Philadelphia and his grandchildren, Michelle, Laura, Althea, Burton and Naomi Dotts.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandra.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Harry’s life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
