Harriet “Bee” Bowman, 71, of Dover, OH., formerly of Virginia Beach, VA., passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning June 29, 2004 at her son Chris’s residence in Gnadenhutten, OH., following a lengthy illness.She was born May 22, 1933, in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania to the late Lee and Hazel (Bly) Davis and retired in 1988 from the Sentara Bayside Hospital, Virginia Beach, Virginia.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Eugene, brothers; Allan and Russell Davis, and a sister; Carolyn Davis.She is survived by sons; Chris (Valerie) Bowman of Gnadenhutten and David (Jesann) Bowman of New Philadelphia, their father Bruce Showman, a brother; Lawrence Davis of Pasedena, CA., Step-grandchildren; Miles & Marley Dunfee,Nicholas, Ginny, Matthew and Joe Hudgins, and step-great grandchildren Ethan and Samual Hudgins.A service celebrating Harriet’s life will be held Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 1:00PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Rev. Don Englehardt officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Saturday from Noon till 1:00 PM. Those unable to attend may visit an online memorial at the funeral home’s website.
