Harold Gladstone, 69, of Uhrichsville, died Friday, April 18, 2003 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.Born February 14, 1934 in Roswell, he was the son of the late Thomas C. and Rosina M. Turrin Gladstone and had served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He had retired from the former Alsco Plant in Gnadenhutten after thirty-five years of service and had worked part-time as a greeter at Wal-Mart in New Philadelphia. He enjoyed going on short excursions with his wife, sister and family and was a loving husband, father and was always there for his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.Surviving is his wife of thirty-two years, the former Selva Gilmore, whom he married August 23, 1970; a son, Clarence H. Gladstone of Barnhill; a daughter, Sandy S. Gladstone of Canton and a sister, Josephine Meese of New Philadelphia. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Charles Gladstone and Clarence Gladstone and a sister, Della Morris are also deceased.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at 1:30 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia with Rev. Michael Travis officiating and the New Philadelphia V.F.W. conducting military services. Following the funeral service, his body is to be cremated and a private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, 2003 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
