Harold Dean Walker

Harold Dean Walker, 77, of Dover, died Friday, August 26, 2005, at his residence following a lengthy illness.A son of the late Harold Thorne and Minnie Althea Benedum Walker, Dean was born June 16, 1928, in Union Township, Tuscarawas Co.He retired from the Tuscarawas Co. Road and Bridge Department in 1989.Dean is survived by his wife, Carol A. Herman Walker, whom he married June 10, 1988; sons, Jim (Pam) Walker, of Uhrichsville, Kevan (Grace) Walker, of Dover and Barry (Vicki) Walker, of New Philadelphia; daughters, Cynthia Walker, of New Philadelphia and Jodi (Mark) Adkins, of Sugarcreek; Step-children, Loretta (Eugene) Rainsburg, of Bowerston, Donald Peterman, of Dover and Rhonda Smith, of Uhrichsville; sisters, Ina Herbert and Elsie Herbert, both of Harmon and Etta McKain, of New Philadelphia; brothers, Danny (Jean) Walker, of New Philadelphia and Delbert Walker of California; grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a grandchild.Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Services will be Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with his nephew Pastor Max Canfield officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob’s Cemetery in Stone Creek.
