H. Timothy Bichsel

H. Timothy Bichsel, 80, of Lancaster and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 in Fairfield Medical Center at Lancaster.

Born in Dover, he was the son of the late Homer G. and Kathryn M. (Dickman) Bichsel and a 1958 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. After high school, Tim furthered his education and graduated in 1960 from Columbus Business School in Columbus and enlisted in the United States Army having served with the Ohio National Guard. Tim retired as the Executive Vice President of Oak Hill Financial and was also a Past Exalted Ruler (P.E.R.) of New Philadelphia Elks Lodge #510.

Surviving are his wife, Mary E. (Campbell) Bichsel of Lancaster; two daughters, Tania (Corey) Perry and Sonya (Kevin) Curren; grandchildren, Coree (Daniel) Harrison, Andrew Nesselroad, Casey Curren, Ryan Curren and Raegan Perry; great grandchildren, Michael and Sarah Harrison; a step-daughter, Janice (Bruce) Butcher; brothers, Dick (Doris) Bichsel and Tom (Lynette) Bichsel and several nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with the service arrangements.
