Guy A. Siciliano, 94, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in Ohio’s Hospice Gault House at Wooster after a period of declining health.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Rose (Pigaro) Siciliano.
Guy married Phyllis Marie Plebani on August 31, 1963. Together they enjoyed 59 years of marriage before her passing in 2023. They were active members of Sacred Heart Church where they both sang in the choir. They also enjoyed participating in community theaters and clogging.
Professionally, Guy retired from GTE/Verizon. Guy served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Guy is survived by his sons, David (Tammy) Siciliano of Wooster, and Dean (Tina) Siciliano of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Kruman, Madelyn Siciliano, and John and Abigail Siciliano.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; brother, Dante Siciliano; and sister, Sue Habbie.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. Father Anthony Raj will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia where Carl C. Stoller VFW Post 1445 will offer military honors.
