Guiseppe Scalia

Guiseppe Scalia, 72, of Country Lawn Nursing Home at Navarre, died Monday, March 24, 2008.A son of the late Guiseppe and Antoinette (Girantano) Scalia, he was born on July 13, 1935 in Benasdare, Italy.Guiseppe is survived by his wife, Maria (Perri) Scalia; a daughter, Antoinette Scalia of Canton; three sons, John (Lucretia) Scalia, Rocco Scalia of New Philadelphia and Angelo (Angela) Scalia of Summerville, South Carolina; nine grandsons, Johnny, Anthony, Dustin, Ryan, Angelo, Tyler, Dominic, Adrian and Nico and three great-granddaughters, Baylie, Kennedy and Matigan.He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandfather, Giovanni Scalia, who was known as “Big John” and two brothers, Anthony and John Scalia.Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Guiseppe’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Harry Scott officiating.
