Gregory Fenton Vogel, 66, of Tappan Lake, Uhrichsville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Aultman Hospital at Canton.

Born in Coldwater, Michigan on May 26, 1951, Greg was one of five children born to the late Russell and Carrie (Fenton) Vogel.

Greg was a graduate of Three Rivers High School at Michigan and furthered his education at Cleveland State University. Greg spent the majority of his career as an over the road independent truck driver.

He loved spending time with his family, working on projects around his home, playing the organ and fishing. Greg’s deep faith in the Lord was nurtured at Community of Faith Baptist Church in Uhrichsville.

Survivors include his wife, the former Robin Boyd, whom he married on February 3, 2006; his children, Douglas (Sarah) Vogel of Cleveland, Gregory “Andy” Vogel of Battle Creek, Michigan, Jacob (Olivia) Vogel, Rachael Vogel all of Uhrichsville, Eboni Boyd of Lexington, Kentucky, Keisha (Shane) Winders of Montgomery, Alabama; his grandchildren, Eleanor Vogel, Arionna Brown, Keshawn Julious, Kaiyan and Khalil Winders.

Completing the family are his siblings, Denise (Duane) Crapo, Dianne (Ron) Jenkie, Suzanne Vogel-Holtz all of Montgomery, Alabama, and Russell (Cindy) Vogel of Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Greg’s wishes private visitation and services will be held. Cremation care has been entrusted to Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.

The family requests memorial contributions in his name be directed to Community of Faith Baptist Church, 3051 Sanders Church Road, Uhrichsville, Ohio 44683.
