Gregory Jean Rothacher

Gregory Jean Rothacher, 46, of Dennison, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 1, 2007 in Union Hospital at Dover.A son of the late Dale and Phyllis (Swisshelm) Rothacher, Greg was born August 21, 1960 in Dover, Ohio.He attended Dover High School and was employed as a cook at many area restaurants over the years. Greg enjoyed playing the piano and accordion and he had a love for animals. But most of all, he was a family man who dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren and also was the biggest fan of his brothers.Greg is survived by his loving wife, Bessie (Gray) Rothacher, whom he married on July 24, 1987, two children Valerie Drake and her husband Bob Drake of Massillon, Ohio and Stacie Clinton and her companion Tommy Rothacher of Leesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Danelle Festi, Ian Clinton, Thomas Eugene Rothacher, Jr., Taylor Rothacher and Katie Rothacher; sister, Debbie (John) Petrella of Dover, brothers, Charles (Sally) Baker, Dave (Vicki) Rothacher, Tom Rothacher, Rod (Sue) Rothacher, Jeff (Kathi) Rothacher, and Jim (Lisa) Rothacher all of Dover; his grandfather, Rod (Jan) Hurless of Canton, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.Family and friends may call on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Greg’s life will be held following visitation on Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Jack Stahl officiating. In keeping with Greg’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.Memorial contributions may be made in Greg’s memory to the Gregory Rothacher Memorial Fund, c/o any location of First Federal Community Bank.
