Gregory D. Meek

Gregory D. Meek, 57, of Port Washington, passed away unexpectedly in Trinity Twin City Hospital at Dennison on May 30, 2015.

Born on February 20, 1958 in Dennison, he was the son of the late John O. and Helen L. (Stull) Meek.

After graduating from Indian Valley South in 1976, he began his career, spending the last 30 years with Horizons and Consumer Support Services of New Philadelphia, where he worked in a variety of roles.
Greg dedicated his life to serving others, whether a complete stranger, a friend, or his family. He also was an avid animal lover.

He will be deeply missed by his family including his siblings, Kevin (Mary) Meek , Vicki (Bill) Brown, D.J. (Donna) Meek, Brenda Meek, all of Port Washington, Sherry (Jack) Callahan of Gnadenhutten, and Kendra (Fred) McCoun of Newcomerstown; his sons, Bill (Mellisa) Larrison of South Carolina, and Doug (Erin) Wheeler of Canton; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his niece, Angel Callahan.

Cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. A public graveside service will be held in Union Cemetery at Port Washington on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 beginning at 11 a.m.
