Gregory D. Demattio

Gregory D. Demattio, 56, of New Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Cleveland Clinic, Union Hospital at Dover.

Born in Dover, he was the son of the late Theodore and Doris Ann (Fellers) Demattio. A 1981 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Greg was employed as a custodian with the New Philadelphia School System and was a member of B.P.O.E. #510 in New Philadelphia and loved bowling and playing golf.

Greg was outgoing and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

On March 19, 1988, Greg married Kimberly (Parris) Demattio, of the residence, and together celebrated over 32 years of marriage. Also surviving are two sons, Kaige (Brittany) Demattio of New Philadelphia and Konner Demattio and his girlfriend, Hunter Goudy of Akron; his brothers and sister, Jeffrey (Vickie) Demattio, Douglas (Beckie) Demattio, Colleen (Dan) Hostetler and Michael (Michele) Demattio and his brother-in-law Chad (Tanya) Parris.

In keeping with his wishes, Greg is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and the family will conduct a service celebrating Greg’s life at a future date.
