Gregory Adam Von Allman, 16, of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday, December 17, 2004 at Akron General Hospital.A son of Carl G. Von Allman, Jr. and Melanie (Murphy) Von Allman, Gregory was born March 4, 1988 in Springville, New York.He was a junior at New Philadelphia High School. Gregory loved rollerblading with his friends. He had a passion for drawing as well as music. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.Gregory is survived by his parents; one brother, Carl G. Von Allman, III of the home; paternal grandparents, Carl G. Von Allman, Sr. and Janet Von Allman of Dover; maternal grandparents Goldie and Greg Gardner of Dover and Bill Murphy of New Philadelphia; great-grandmother, Margaret Kornish of New Philadelphia; uncles, Eric (Cindy) Von Allman of Warsaw, Ohio and Dean (Sally) Murphy of New Philadelphia; aunts, Karen (James) Smith of New Philadelphia, Maggie (Mike) Gilland of New Philadelphia; great-aunt, Lillian Dutton of New Philadelphia; cousins, Matt, Ben, Ryan, Sean, Kristy, Derrick, Curt, Dieter and Mathew; and many special friends.Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from 12 to 2pm and again from 4 to 8pm in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A private funeral service celebrating the life of Gregory will be conducted by his uncle, Eric Von Allman, on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel. Burial will be at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia.Memorial contributions may be made to the Gregory Von Allman Memorial Fund at any Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union location.
