Greely Moss, 98, of Mineral City, died November 17, 2005, in Hennis Care Centre in Dover following a brief illness.A son of the late William Thomas and Bell Lydia Branon Moss, Greely was born January 2, 1907, in Mudfork, W.VA.He was retired from the Timken Co. New Philadelphia plant where he served on the security force. Greely was a farmer and lived on his farm until September of this year. He enjoyed gardening and attending the Carrollton Sales livestock auction and reading his bible. He was a member of Lake Drive Fellowship Church in New Cumberland.He is survived by five of his children, Jerome Moss, of Dover, Mrs. Dale (Dolajean) Eckert, of Mineral City, Jarrite (Patricia) Moss, of Mineral City, Dale Moss, of Dover, and Mary Lee Brannan, of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Patty (Bill) Jones, Tommy (Darla) Moss, Rosie (Mike) Carris, Sherry (Dirk) Kimble, Johnny (Sydney) Moss, David Eckert, Bill Moss, Bob (Gloria) Moss, Woody (Julie) Moss, Ricky (Sandy) Moss, James (Cindy) Moss, Jennifer Moss, Jeff Moss, Todd (Cindy) Brannan, Debbie (Mike) Randulic, Tammy (Dan) Frantum, and Tracy Brannan; longtime caregivers, Sharon Young and Linda Newell; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.Greely was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eunice, who died August 10, 1991; a son Woodrow Dean Moss, three brothers and two sisters.Visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Lester Stevens on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
