Grant A. Buckohr, 66, of Dover, died Saturday afternoon, October 25, 2003 at Union Hospital in Dover following a lengthy illness.Born November 26, 1936 in New Philadelphia, he was a son of Beatrice M. Renicker Buckohr of New Philadelphia and the late Grant H. Buckohr. Grant was a U. S. Army veteran and had been the owner and operator of the Ace Pressure Cleaning & Restoration Company until his retirement in 1999. Formerly he had worked as a machinist for the Diebold Company, the former Warner-Swasey Company and Joy Manufacturing Company. His wife, Nancy J. Wenger Buckohr, died June 12, 1998. Along with his mother, Grant is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Buckohr of New Philadelpia; two sons, Bruce A. (Shelli) Buckohr of Dennison and Brian A. Buckohr of New Philadelphia; a sister, Marge E. Locker of New Philadelphia; a brother, David Buckohr of Seattle, WA; a half-sister, Louise Inherst of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Savannah Blackwell, Stephanni Buckohr and Bram Buckohr and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Eubanks, complete the family. One infant sister is deceased. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at 1:30 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. Immediately after the chapel service, friends are invited to a reception in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home. Following cremation at Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory, burial alongside his wife will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday (tonight) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
