Grace Nicholson

Grace D. Nicholson, of Dover, passed away August 4, 2014, one day prior to her 88th birthday, in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.

Born August 5, 1926, Grace was the daughter of the late John and Dessie M. (Wells) Fox.
Grace spent her life loving and caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, and will long be remembered for her homemade noodles. Grace also enjoyed reading, decorating for the holidays, and spending time at the lake camping with her family. Her faith was nurtured at Truth Bible Baptist Church.

She will be deeply missed by her children including Becky (Steve) Doney of Stone Creek, and John A. Nicholson of Beach City; her grandchildren, Chris Miller, Tonya Bell, Ronnie Lab, Marci Moore, Nicki Lab, Kassy Hurst, Amy Ankrom, Michael Doney, and Raeann Todd; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Marsha (Earl) Johnson of Dover.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, in 1993; her children, Bonnie Miller and Brenda Lab; her grandson, Marty Miller; and her siblings, Robert, John Jr., Arnold, Lester and Gary Fox and Shelby Tristano.

A public graveside service will be held Friday in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia beginning at 10 a.m. Friends may visit with the family Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hope Baptist Church, 2671 St. Rt. 39 NW, Dover.
