Grace Ann Calderon

Grace Ann Calderon, age 81, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Harold C. and Helen (Haupert) Everett, Grace Ann was born January 17, 1933 at Tuscarawas, Ohio.

She was a 1950 graduate of Tuscarawas Warwick High School and following graduation, Grace Ann attended the Lamar Beauty School in Akron, Ohio. She married Richard J. Calderon on October 25, 1952.

A life-long resident of Tuscarawas County, Grace Ann worked as a hairdresser at Calderon’s Hair Weaving until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Grace Ann is survived by a son, Richard L. (Lisa) Calderon; three daughters, Susanne (Darrel) Ciereszewski, Holly (John) Schmidt, all of New Philadelphia, and Kelly Pagni of Cuyahoga Falls; nine grandchildren, Adam (Rachel), Michael, Christopher (Lacey), Sarah (Jason), Megan (Joe), Nicholas, Jordan, Leslie, and Logan (Becca), and eight great-grandchildren, Chandler, Sarah Grace, Mayson, Maddox, Emery, Dekin, Sable, and Diamond.

In addition to her parents, Grace Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Drumm.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2014, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A Memorial Service Celebrating Grace Ann’s life will be held in the funeral home’s chapel at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will follow in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia. Following services, all are invited to share in a meal and fellowship in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.
