Gloria Ann Spring, 86, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at her home following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bates) Schimp, Gloria was born August 7, 1931 at Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Gloria was the owner and operator of the former Purple Pallet at Dover and she had a love for animals.
She is survived by her children, Stephen (Nancy) Lechiara of Spring Hill, Florida, David Lechiara of Seminole, Florida and Marcia (Scottie) Hubbard of St. Paris, Ohio; five grandchildren, Terry Fults, Nicole Lechiara, Angela Quinn, and Alissa and Kristin Hubbard; six great-grandchildren; a great nephew, Tony Grill, who cared for Gloria over the years and a dear friend, Hazel Daly.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Spring who passed away on June 27, 1994; a sister, Wilda Grill and a brother, Russell Bowers.
In keeping with Gloria’s wishes, private graveside services will be held in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
