Gloria Ann Thomas

Gloria Ann Thomas, 79, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, died peacefully Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Rochester, Michigan.

A daughter of the late Steve and Anna (Downing) Terakedis, Gloria was born August 4, 1933 in Uhrichsville, Ohio.

She is survived by her children; Davina (Michael) Rice of Ashland, Ohio, David (Judi) Thomas II of Rochester, Michigan, Denise (Ron) Treat of Santa Clarita, Califonia; six grandchildren, Dawn, Christopher, Heather, Evan, Sara, and Brandon; 2 great grandchildren, Daysha and Maniah; one sister, Carolyn (John) Williams of Canton, Ohio and three brothers, John Terakedis of Dover, Ohio, Fred (Sissie) Terakedis of Uhrichsville, Ohio and Steve (Judie) Terakedis of North Olmstead, Ohio.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David E. Thomas who passed away on March 9, 2002; three sisters, Thelma (Emil) Wojcik, Camela Reigle, Betty Fiester, and three brothers, William, Frank (Faye) and Sam Terakedis.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Gloria’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Hugh Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, a luncheon will be held in the Geib Family Center at
New Philadelphia.
