Gladys M. Bour

Gladys M. Bour, 84, of Massillon, formerly of Dover, died Tuesday evening at the Amherst Meadows in Massillon surrounded by her loving family.A daughter of the late William and Alice Maude May James Haney, Gladys was born December 10, 1920, in Goshen, OH.She was a 1938 graduate of Midvale High School, and worked as a bookkeeper for various area companies.Gladys attended First Presbyterian Church at New Philadelphia, was a member of Treasure Hunters, enjoyed bowling, bingo and playing cards.She is survived by daughters, Sandy Betche of Bolivar and Virginia (Carl) Loos of Dover; son Brian (Susan) Bour of Bolivar; 11 granddaughters and 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor Bour; a son, Thomas Bour; four brothers; and three sisters. Visitation will be Friday March 25, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Funeral Services will be conducted by Elder Glenn Carlisle on Saturday March 26, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. A reception will be held at the Geib Family Center immediately following the committal.The family suggests memorial donations be made to Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter.
