Gerda Allenbaugh, 100, of Dover, passed away peacefully in the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia on June 17, 2015 with her family by her side.
Born on February 23, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Germaine Gerber.
Gerda was a faithful member of the Dover Bible Church where she served in a number of capacities. She was a gifted culinary artist and also enjoyed hand crafts.
Most importantly, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Gerda will be deeply missed by her children, Barb (Don) Prince of Dover and Dave (Dianna) Groh of Reynoldsburg; her granddaughters, Kim Hines, Tina (Pat) Davis, Amy (Todd) Jarvis, and Tami (Seth) Hughes; and her 3 great-granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cloyd J. Groh in 1974; her second husband, Ralph Allenbaugh; and her siblings, Helen Rhodes and Bill Gerber.
No public visitation or services will be held. Cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
