Geraldine Nolen

Geraldine A. Nolen, 85, of Dover, died Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Aultman Compassionate Care at Canton following a brief illness.

Born September 10, 1933, in Malvern, she was the daughter of the late William A. And Mary Rose (Hershberger) Snyder and had previously attended the East Sparta United Methodist Church.

In 1951, she married Cecil Nolen and together raised six children. Cecil preceded her in death on September 10, 2006. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Jean (Steven) Hines of East Sparta; four sons, Gerald. C. (Nadine) Nolen and Michael L. (Brenda) Nolen of Canton South, Gary L. (Valerie) Nolen of East Sparta and Kenneth E. (Michele) Nolen of Dover; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

In addition to her parents and her husband, a son, Timothy J. Nolen, four brothers and five sisters are also deceased.

In keeping with her wishes, Geraldine is to be cremated through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and no public services have been scheduled. Arrangements are being handled through the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
