Georgia E. Maurer

Georgia E. Maurer, 66, of Dover, died Friday, November 24, 2006 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.Born October 27, 1940, she was the daughter of the late George and Nelli (Howell) Speck.After completing her formal education in Denver, Colorado, Georgia married her husband, the late Frederick “Fritz” Maurer who preceded her in death on September 21, 1979.Together, they raised two sons, Mitch Maurer of Dallas, Texas and Keith Maurer of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Georgia is also survived by her grandsons Frederick of Cuyahoga Falls and Charles of Dallas, Texas; and one nephew, Nick Neville. In addition to her parents and husband, Georgia was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Neville.Visitation will be held at the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service celebrating her life beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Steve Bailey will officiate and burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are invited back to the Geib Funeral Center where a luncheon will be served in the Hospitality Center immediately following the committal service.
