Georgia Ann Briggs

Georgia Ann Briggs, age 82, of Wainwright, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center of Uhrichsville. Born May 24, 1927 in Wainwright, O. she was the daughter of the late George F. and Annie (Carlisle) Briggs.After completing her formal education, Georgia spent her lifetime as a loving wife and mother. She married George G. Briggs, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2004.She greatly enjoyed watching television and had worked for a brief time at Bonveccio’s Restaurant in Wainwright.Georgia is survived by her two sons, George “Dugan” Briggs, Jr. of Wainwright and Jerry (Kathleen) Grove of Tuscarawas; her two brothers, Robert (Wilma) Briggs of Wainwright and Jerry (Rita) Briggs of Mentor, O.; her three grandchildren, Scott Grove, Mandi Douglas and Jason Briggs; and 7 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean Kohler and her brother, George Howard Briggs.A funeral service will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m. with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. A meal will be shared in the Geib Family Center immediately following the service.
