George Androsky, 84, of Dover, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Claymont Health and Rehab at Uhrichsville after a fight with dementia.
A son of the late Joseph and Susie Androsky, George was born April 29, 1933 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.
George loved fishing, hunting, camping, being outdoors, working on cars, traveling and spending time with his family. George was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
George worked construction all of his life, he retired from construction and then had a junk yard and car lot for 20 years which he then retired from completely.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna (Rittenour) Androsky, whom he married May 2, 1953; his son, George (Ann) Androsky; his daughter, Jodi (Dan) Dunaway; grandchildren, Katarina (fiancé Brian Knepper) Mathews, Alex Mathews, Devlin Mathews, Bryan Androsky, Katlyn Androsky, Kelsey Androsky, Kayla Androsky, and Jayden, as well as special friends of the family, Dan and Vickie Freed.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating his life will take place Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Garden. A meal will then be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.
