George A Scott

George A. Scott, 92, of New Philadelphia, passed away June 29, 2012 in Mercy Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Born in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Sadie Scott. After completing his formal education, George served his country in the United States Army. He then began his professional career.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. (Farmer) Scott of New Philadelphia; his daughter, Pamela Scott of Louisville, KY; his granddaughter, Alexis Scott; three sisters, Susan Faire, Lucy Stone, and Faye Gregory all of Louisville, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his siblings Thomas Scott, Ben Scott, Sadie Thomas, Mary Southerling, and Pearl Southerling.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. A private service will be held at a later date.
