Gary W. Collins, age 59, of Dover died early Tuesday morning, June 15, 2010, in Union Hospital at Dover following a year long battle with cancer.A son of the late William E. and Mozelle (Schilling) Collins, Gary was born at Warren, Ohio on December 10, 1950.Gary was a 1968 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Communication Degree from Kent State University.For more than twenty years, Gary worked in the Shipping Department for Little Tikes Toys at Hudson.Gary was an avid reader who enjoyed collecting books, being a fan of baseball and hockey and was passionate about spending time on the computer “managing” numerous fantasy baseball leagues.Additionally, He enjoyed most types of music and had an extensive and eclectic collection of CDs and DVD movies. Furthermore, Gary enjoyed the companionship of his friends and cherished the time they spent with him throughout the years and during his illness. He also enjoyed the companionship of his cat, Snoopy.Gary leaves behind his fiancee Peggi Bisesi of Cuyahoga Falls; a brother, Rodney (Cynthia) Collins of West Portsmith, Ohio; friends, Suzie and Merle Beatty of Dover; three nieces, Michelle (Travis) Steffle, Anna (Terry) Kuykendall, and Tina Whaley, and two nephews, Christopher Collins and Steve Beatty.Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews as well as numerous cousins complete the family.In keeping with Gary’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.
