Gary W. Cline

Gary W. Cline, age 60, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and formerly of Dover, died Saturday morning, September 22, 2007, in his residence following a brief illness. Born at Canton, November 15, 1946, he was a son of Mary Agnes Elson Cline Buechele of Dundee and the late Howard Woodrow Cline. Gary attended school at the former Wooster Highway School before completing his education at Dover High School. The fifth of eight children reared in his family, Gary enjoyed the outdoors fishing and tinkering with cars. He was especially fond of racing dirt track late model vehicles, and took great delight in lending his skill as a mechanic to keep the vehicles running. For the past twenty years, Gary has resided in Las Vegas, where he once worked as a chef, and later in security for the Holy Cow restaurant. At the time of his death, Gary was affiliated with the El Cortez Casino, where he worked in security. Gary, will be missed by his son Cameron (wife Melinda) Cline of Wooster; three grandchildren, Mara Cline, Cameron Cline Jr., and Hayden Cline, as well as a brother Ron (wife Barb) Cline of Spearfish, South Dakota; sisters Carol Gerber of Dover, Dorothy Landis of Dundee and Rita (husband Bill) Foster of New Philadelphia; step-brothers Charles (wife Wilma) Buechele of Newbury, Ohio, Delbert (Connie) Buechele of Ashland; a brother-in-law Jack Ripley of Gnadenhutten; and a sister-in-law, Lois Cline of Osterburg, Pennsylvania. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins complete the family. In addition to his father, Gary is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Howard Cline Jr; a sister, Brenda Ripley; a stepfather, Charles Buechele; a stepbrother, Ronald Buechele; brothers-in-law Bill Gerber and Nelson Landis; a nephew, Brian Landis; and a niece, Melissa Belknap. Friends are invited to call Thursday evening in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, from 6-7PM with minister Dixie Hendricks leading a ceremony of remembrance at 7PM. A reception will follow the service in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Cremation will take place and inurnment will follow Friday morning at 9AM in Dundee Cemetery.
