Gary Ronald Snyder

Gary Ronald Snyder, age 76, of Uhrichsville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in Community Hospice Truman House after a period of declining health.

Born in Dover on February 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert and Margaret (Stropky) Snyder.

Gary graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1964.  He then served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, completing two tours of duty.  After his honorable discharge from the Army, he was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW.  A welder by trade, Gary was always known as a hard worker.  In his free time, he loved working on cars and could often be found riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle.

Gary will be deeply missed by his sister, Marcia Beavers; nieces, Amy Beavers, Valerie Jean Milburn and Sheila Heighland; identical twin nephews, Evan Raymond Jackson and Ethan Daniel Jackson; grand-niece, Eleah Heighland; cousin, Steve (Elaine) Stropky; and best friend, Jim Ramsey.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Eugene Snyder.

Cremation care has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory.  There are no services planned at this time.
