Gary Morrison

Gary Gene Morrison, 70, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2008 in Union Hospital at Dover.Born August 21, 1938 at Cambridge, Ohio, Gary was the son of the late Bradford and Minnie (Brown) Morrison.Gary was a veteran of the United States Navy and served as a medic on the U.S.S. Sarasota. He retired in 1986 from the former Alsco Plant at Sugarcreek.He is survived by his former wife, Dorothy (Fishel) Morrison of Dover; his children, Kathy Jo (Joel) Hildebrand of Dover, William Brad (Shari) Morrison of Sugarcreek and Gary Dale Morrison of Dover and four grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew Warther and Gary Morrison all of Dover and Jennifer Morrison of New Philadelphia.Gary was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children, Jeffery Allen and Traci Lynn Morrison and a brother, Jack Dale Morrison.In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Dover Burial Park at Dover.Contributions may be made in Gary’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
