Gary L. Elliott

Gary L. Elliott, age 65, of North Canton passed away Friday October 17, 2008 surrounded by family and friends after an extended illness. Gary was born on March 13, 1943 in Minerva, Ohio, the son of the late John and Emma Lou Elliott. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Elliott. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Teresa Augustyn Elliott; daughter, Debbie Hintz, of Massillon, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Robert Christy, of Mogadore, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Janet Elliott, of Hudson, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Gabriela and Trevor Porter, of Uniontown, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Valdemar and Barbara Kazana, of Canton; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Samantha Elliott, of Iowa; grandchildren, Garret, Gavin, Olivia, Addison, Gabriella, Aiden, Amelia, Alexander and Colin; many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family in Poland. In accordance with Gary’s wishes cremation is under the direction of the Geib Funeral Center & Crematory of Dover, OH. A memorial mass will be conducted Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Michael Catholic Church at Canton. Inurnment will be held at a later date.The family of Gary wishes to extend their appreciation for the care and kindness of the staff from Hospice of Stark County during Gary’s illness. Gary loved children and books. He was also a member of “Friends of the Library”. In his memory donations are suggested to the North Canton Public Library, 185 N.
