Gail Menefee

Gail Lee Menefee, Jr., 65, of Ocala, Florida, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 21, 2013 in his home.

A son of Ruth Menefee Cadle and the late Gail Menefee, Sr., Gail was born September 8, 1948 at Dover, Ohio.

Gail was a veteran of the United States Army who served a tour of duty in the Korean Conflict and two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing as well as spending time with his beloved dog, Bear.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Dan Menefee of New Philadelphia and Dale (Debbie) Menefee of Coshocton; five grandchildren, Jocelynn and Hayley Menefee of Coshocton and Danny, Destiny and Summer Menefee of New Philadelphia; four step grandsons, Josh, Alex, Cody and Shawn Miller of Coshocton; four great grandchildren, Tommy and Trevor Menefee, Alanna Menefee and Carson Miller and his siblings, Chris Menefee and Pamela Weltman of New Philadelphia, Terry Menefee of South Carolina and Brent Menefee of North Carolina.

Gail was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, David and Pearl Anderson and Lee and Maybelle Menefee Lynch and a brother, Thomas Menefee.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Gail’s life will be held in Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Main officiating. Inurnment will follow in German Cemetery at Mineral City. Following the committal service a luncheon will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.
