Gail Fitzgerald

Gail E. Fitzgerald, 67, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Hennis Care & Assisted Living in Bolivar, Ohio.

A daughter of the late George Manning and Patricia Fetterman, Gail was born June 4, 1949.

Gail graduated from John Marshall High School and then went on to become a nurse’s aide for many years at both Hennis and New Dawn Retirement Community in Dover.

Gail loved the outdoors and enjoyed going camping and boating with her family in summertime.   Most of all she enjoyed her family and being a grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Fitzgerald, whom she married on March 27, 1981; her daughter, Tara (Phillip) Beal of New Philadelphia; two sons, Richard (Denise) Fitzgerald of North Canton and Todd Pilz; six grandchildren, Cierra, Aleah, Nevaeh, Austin Beal, Alan and Andy Pilz, and Ricky Fitzgerald; two brothers, Rick (Beth) Manning and Howard Fetterman; a sister, Elizabeth Savage as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gail is preceded in death by her son, Alan Pilz and her brother, George Manning.

A memorial visitation for close family and friends will be held Saturday June 18^, 2016 from 10 to 11AM at the Geib Funeral Center in Dover, Ohio where a memorial service celebrating Gail’s life will begin in the funeral home at 11AM, with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Cremation care will follow through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
