Gail Elaine Roof

Gail Elaine Roof, age 60, of Dover, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2016, while surrounded by her family, following a hard fought battle with cancer.

A daughter of Denver and Janice (Kappeler) Wikoff of Dover, Gail was born in Union Hospital at Dover on June 14, 1955.

She was a 1973 graduate of Dover High School and for the past 40 years, she has been employed by Zimmer at Dover. Gail was an avid fan of the Cleveland Sports teams and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed traveling with her family to various cruise destinations and spending time with her nieces and nephews, who were her pride and joy.

Gail was a former member of the Dover Foursquare Gospel Church where she was active as a youth leader and most recently has been an active member of the Dennison Foursquare Gospel Church and the many ministries within the congregation.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, Raymond Roof; her siblings, Mike (Sandi) Wikoff, Ruthann (Chuck) Kuntzman, Pam (Randy) Frank, and Paula Kimble all of Dover; a brother and sister-in-law, Chuck (Lisa) Roof of Coshocton as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Gail was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Steve Kimble.

The family will greet guests on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Pastor Rod Phillips will lead a service celebrating Gail’s life on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Burial in the Dover Burial Park will follow. All are invited to share in a time of food and fellowship in the Hospitality Room of the Dover Geib Center following services.
