Freeda Patrick Day

Freeda Patrick Day, 98, of Uhrichsville, formerly of Midvale, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.Born January 21, 1905, in Belmont County Ohio, she was the daughter of Weldy and Hattie Brock Patrick. She worked as a sales clerk for Earle E. Smith and then as a receptionist for Dr. Orr. Freeda was a member of Roxford United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her spare time. Surviving are two daughters, Deberah (Mike) Creager of Midvale, Betty Hoffman of Strasburg; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Day; a son, Melvinlee Failing, a daughter, Donna Haver; and three brothersCalling hours will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2003, from 2-5 PM, at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, at 10:30 AM, in the funeral home with Pastor Henry E. Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
