Frederick Dean Indermill, 82, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Altman Hospital at Canton, Ohio after a period of declining health.
A son of the late Harry and Nola (Coates) Indermill, Fred was born March 12, 1933 in Union Hospital at Dover, Ohio.
He was a 1951 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, and went on to serve in the United States Army. Fred enjoyed the outdoors very much, and loved camping. He spent hours outside tending to his garden, and was well known for his sauerkraut. He also enjoyed making wine, Notre Dame Football, and spending time fixing things around the house.
He is survived by his wife Marcia (Roberts) Indermill, whom he married January 18, 1958; two daughters, Marcia (Roberto) Jaime and Michelle (Mike) Horn; two sons, Matthew (Jeanene) and Mitchell (Dee) Indermill; five grandchildren, Keith (Lyndsey) and Tina Fockler, Alisa (Bill) Riccardi, and Kaleb and Kyler Indermill; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Smitley, Stefanie, Brooklyn, and Kallie Fockler, and Christian, Dana, and Elliot Riccardi; a sister Mary Lou Swinderman, and a sister-in-law, Joyce Indermill.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a grandson Zachary Horn; and his brother Vernon Indermill.
Visitation will be held Thursday November 12, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, where a Christian Wake Service will begin at 8p.m. Cremation care will be conducted by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
Fred enjoyed a simple lifestyle and the family requests no floral gifts.
