Frank H. Andreas

Frank H. Andreas, age 92, of Beach City, O., passed away early Thursday morning, December 30, 2010 following a period of declining health.Born in Sugarcreek on October 1, 1918, he was the son of the late Harvey D. and Minnie B. (Shutt) Andreas.After graduating from Beach City High School in 1936, he joined his family operating the Andreas Stock Farm of Beach City. Until recently, Frank still found great pleasure in working the land with his son, Dan. He also enjoyed hunting coon and deer on the land.Frank met his late wife, the former Georgia L. Ball, in Strasburg while picking up feed at Garver Brothers Feed Mill. On September 10, 1945 they were wed and celebrated 55 years of marriage before her passing on September 29, 2000. Together, they were members of Strasburg United Methodist Church.Frank leaves behind his children, Daniel K. (Sarah) Andreas of Strasburg, Judy Andreas of Richmond, Ca., and Susan Andreas of Beach City; his grandson, Marcus Andreas; his brother, Robert “Dud” (Betty) Andreas of Dover; and his sister, Mildred Houy of Beach City; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his wife and parents, Frank was preceded in death by his two brothers, George and Ed; and his sister, Ruth Arney.Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg on Wednesday, January 5 beginning at 2 p.m. with Rev.
