Frank E. Gebelin, 80, of Dover, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 in Union Hospital at Dover.A son of the late Louis and Ida (Fondriest) Gebelin, Frank was born September 17, 1925 at Dover, OhioHe was a 1943 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School at Dover. Frank retired from Union Camp in 1990 after 47 years of service.Frank served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a staff sergeant in the 106th Infantry Division in which he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta (Hunter) Gebelin, whom he married August 24, 1957; two daughters, Ruth Ann Glasgow of Dover and her companion Steven Swihart and Patricia Miller and her husband Steven of Sugarcreek; and five grandchildren which includes Erica Glasgow and her fiance, Matthew Ott and Chris and Brittany Miller with whom he shared many happy hours with.Frank was preceded in death by his parents and a dear son, Michael Gebelin.In keeping with Frank’s wishes, services will be private with burial taking place in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.The family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622 and/ or the Alzheimer’s Association.
