Frank H. deMello, age 70, of Mukilteo, Washington and formerly of Uhrichsville, died April 29, 2008, at Seattle, Washington. Born on July 13, 1937, at Brooklyn, New York, Frank was a son of the late John H. and Gertrude (McMillen) deMello.Frank grew up at New York, Florida and Ohio and moved back and forth several times throughout his youth. He graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1955; and went on to attend Palm Beach Jr. College at Palm Beach, Florida.In 1955 Frank joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged August 1959 with the rank of Rm2Class.Frank worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in West Palm Beach Florida and later completed 33 years of service at the Boeing Company. During the years with Boeing, he worked in Aerospace on all the Apollo Flights at Cape Canaveral, Florida, the Minute Man missile program. The later years were spent with the commercial division of Boeing Aircraft Company as a Tooling Supervisor for the Harbor Pointe facility. Frank was also active in the Leisure Timers retired group at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, bowled on the Wednesday league in Evergreen Lanes and watched every sport he could.In 1958, Frank married Gloria Jean Bertolini, his surviving wife of 50 years. Frank is also survived by his two sons, Ken (Lisa) from Virginia and Kristopher from Mukilteo; two granddaughters, the loves of his life, Katelyn and Madison deMello of Virginia; four sisters, Bobbie (Don) Hall, Sally (RL) Berg, Tracy (Charlie) Underhill, and Carol (Doug) Stanwyck; sister-in-law Peggy (Jack) deMello and one brother, David deMello of Florida.In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers Jim and Jack deMello; one daughter, Kathy Lynne deMello.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor George J. Schlegel on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 1:00 PM, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
