Frances Isabel Horsfall, age 96, of Canal Fulton and a longtime resident of Tuscarawas County, died Saturday evening, July 18, 2009 in Chapel Hill Community at Canal Fulton.Born April 19, 1913 in Gnadenhutten, O., she was the daughter of the late Otto and Letitia (Kinsey) Rank.After completing her education at Gnadenhutten High School, Isabel married the late Joe Horsfall who preceded her in death on January 7, 1994. She was a lifetime homemaker.Isabel’s church and family were most important to her throughout her lifetime. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. She also worshipped at the Chili Crossroad Bible Church in Fresno, O.Isabel resided at the Chapel Hill Community for the past seven years. There, she formed deep bonds with other residents and caretakers at the nursing home. She will be deeply missed.Isabel is survived by her children including; daughters, Joan (Wendell) Beal of Sugarcreek, Sharon (Jon) Yarian of Apache Junction, Arizona; her sons, Pastor William (Amber) Horsfall of Massillon and Pastor Ned (Missy) Horsfall of Sugarcreek; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Martha Ervin of Dover.In addition to her parents and husband, Isabel was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and her grandson.Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating Isabel’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday beginning at 10:30 a.m. with her two sons co-officiating. Burial will follow the service in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. Friends and family are invited to the Geib Family Center, located adjacent to the funeral home in New Philadelphia, where a meal will be shared.Memorial contributions may be directed to Chapel Hill Community, 12200 Strausser St. NW, Canal Fulton, OH 44614-9403 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
