Frances Glenna Kaderly, 87, of Strasburg, formerly of New Philadelphia, died Sunday morning, April 17, 2005, at Union Hospital.A daughter of the late Mary and John Alexander, she was born February 6, 1918, and was a l937 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.She was a secretary at the former Joy Manufacturing Company in New Philadelphia and later retired from her position as bookkeeper at the New Philadelphia Municipal Court.Frances was a life member and past secretary of the New Philadelphia Lady Elks and a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia. She was well-known as an expert seamstress and enjoyed spending her free time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.Frances is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen (Jay) Wardell of Strasburg; son Thomas “Tom” Kaderly of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Mrs. Gail (Olga) Walters of Dover; brother, John “Bob” (Grace) Alexander of Wainwright; granddaughters, Jacqueline (Kurtt) Peters of Uhrichsville and Allison (John) Stutzman of Strasburg; and great-grandchildren, Alex Wardell, Chandler Peters, Bailey Cross, and Gracyn Stutzman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Robert “Bob” Kaderly;sister, Rita Baldwin; and brother, Richard “Dick” Alexander. Visitation will be at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friends and family will gather at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated by Msgr. George Schlegel. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
