Floy Maxine Ferrell

Floy Maxine Ferrell, 76, of Cardington, O., formerly of Dover, died Tuesday July 12, 2005 at the Morrow Co. Hospital in Mt. Gilead, O.A daughter of the late James Harvey and Mary Edith Stevens Mattern, Maxine was born February 16, 1929, in Cadiz, O.She had retired from Alsco Anaconda in Sugarcreek and attended the Church of the Risen Christ at Wainwright. She was a devoted Christian woman to Jesus Christ and to her family.Maxine is survived by a son, James R. (Kathy) Ferrell of Cardington; sisters, Elaine Moyer of Maryland, Mae Patton of Carrollton and Pearl Shawver of Scio; a brother, Donald Mattern of Richmond, O.; grandchildren, James R. (Kim) Ferrell II and Julie (Marcus) Cox; and great grandchildren, Bryce, Willow and Elijah Cox, Allison, Katy, James R. III, and Joseph Ferrell.She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.Visitation will be held Thursday July 14, 2005 (tonight) from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held Friday July 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor George Fowler officiating. Burial will be at the Methodist Church Cemetery in Kilgore, O. with pastor Robert Sesson officiating.
