Florence Prosperi

Florence Prosperi, 84, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in Aultman Hospital at Canton, Ohio.A daughter of the late Attillo and Augustine Prosperi, Florence was born October 10, 1922 at Uhrichsville, Ohio.Florence, who was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, retired from Alsco at Gnadenhutten, Ohio in 1984.She is survived by one brother, Russell Prosperi of Dover; a sister-in-law, Eunice Prosperi of Virginia and many nieces and nephews.Florence was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Lucy Romig, Jean Matthus, Mary Watkins, Vera Thompson and Margaret Butler and three brothers, Rev. Dominick Prosperi, Lloyd Prosperi and Hubert Faes.In keeping with Florence’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services observed and cremation will take place in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A private family graveside service will be held in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s honor to the First Church of the Nazarene, 233 Fair Avenue NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 or to a charity of one’s choice.
