Florence Ann Zuchegno

Florence Ann Zuchegno, 86, of Dover, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover.A daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Colletti) Scalambrino, Florence was born May 17, 1921 at Roswell, Ohio.She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1940 and then worked for the former Puritan Laundry at New Philadelphia for many years,Florence was a member of Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was well known for her homemade spaghetti and meatballs.She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Mary Ann and John Hunter of New Philadelphia; a son and his wife, Daniel and Mary Zuchegno of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren, Joseph and Sophia Zuchegno of Denver, Colorado; step grandchildren, Russell (Judy) Hunter and Doug Hunter; Step great grandchildren, Kristin, Seth and Blake Hunter; step great-great grandchildren, Kayla and Sean Mudd all of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, Charles (Marie) Scalambrino of Seal Beach, California, Anthony (Louise) Scalambrino of Magnolia, Ohio and Nick (Carol) Scalambrino of New Philadelphia; a sister-in-law, Ruth Scalambrino of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel A. Zuchegno; a sister, Theresa Schlegel; a brother, Pete Scalambrino; and a step great grandson, Jonathan Hunter.Family and friends may call on Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating.
